This work comes from the series “When Happiness Was Ordinary.” In the past, as a child, she could be happy with simple things: an ice cream from the ice cream man, a windmill toy, or a beautiful balloon at a birthday party. However, these are highly transient. The ice cream quickly melts, the windmill breaks, and the balloon deflates or blows away. This led to the idea of immortalizing things she associates with happy times in ceramic objects so that they evoke the feeling permanently. These artworks make you happy every day.
