The path appears complete. The eye never arrives. A triangular corridor of reflected light pointing toward a sun on the horizon. The viewer becomes the figure. On aluminium panel the crystal glass pigments hold the gold longer than the actual evening did. De Zandmotor, the Sand Motor: a peninsula off the South Holland coast, built to dissolve. Twenty-one million cubic meters of sand deposited in 2011, designed to be redistributed along the coast by wind and tide over twenty years. IV holds that place. The sand is already moving.
